You've seen concrete countertops spotlighted in Metropolitan Home, Architectural Digest, This Old Home, and a host of other magazines.  So what's the deal, you wonder?  The latest trend?  Well, this old stone is new again.   Concrete countertops have been found in Roman palaces that date back to the Second Century.  All over the world, concrete lends itself as a readily available, versatile building material.  One can say that either the U.S. is catching up with other parts of the globe or going back in time!  Lucioni Arts' concrete countertops can turn your kitchen or bathroom into a truly personal testimony to your style and flair. And while you might not view your countertop project as a future archeological find, Lucioni Arts' commitment to quality insures it could be.

Lucioni Arts casts each set of countertops at its manufacturing facility in South Seattle.  Unlike "poured in place" concrete countertops, ours do not crack*.  Our concrete mix is rich--seven sack for those who are counting!  We add reinforcing fiber and drying agents to the mix and reinforce with either rebar, u-bar or mesh.  We regulate the cure to insure top quality and durability.

From initial planning and mold making, to final grinding and polishing, quality is top priority.

Countertops are built to your specifications.  Just about anything is possible for configuration and "extras."

Lucioni Arts' countertops are cast thick, 2", and fully reinforced for strength and durability.  Pigment-dyed color means the rich tone will not fade or show chips.  Custom stains are available, too.  Unlike synthetics, concrete countertops grow warmer and richer with age.  Care is simple!  Periodic coats of water sealer and paste wax will keep them looking wonderful for years. (P.S.:  You do not need heavy-duty cabinetry to support concrete.  It's only 23lbs. per square foot.)

*Under normal conditions.  Mishandling, improper installation and Acts of God invalidate this claim.

Why Concrete?

  •     A dramatic, bold look with a warm feel. None of the sterility of the synthetics.
  •     Durable!  Full reinforcement means cracks can be repaired, not turn into a major break.
  •     Counters are made to your plans.  The only limit is your imagination!
